Prices are going up all over the Twin Cities. Just over the last 24 months we have seen the average home jump 20% in sales price. More first time home buyers will be priced out of south Minneapolis and will choose to move to smaller cities where prices are lower. As you can see the median sales price in Owatonna is only $230,000 compared to $487,000 in the Page neighborhood of south Minneapolis. Two totally different areas and locations, but prices drive the market and I think we will see a big increase in sales in the smaller towns this year as prices continue to rise.
