Buy In South Minneapolis While Home Prices Are Low This Winter

If you are planning on buying a house in south Minneapolis this year consider shopping as soon as possible.  Every year prices increase as we get closer to summer.  Once the weather gets warm more buyers start shopping and there is a big increase in demand and home prices. As you can see from this graph each year home prices in Minneapolis are the lowest around January and February.  But as we get closer to July prices start to increase. 

In the end, you could save $20,000-$50,000 on the sale of your home by purchasing in February compared to July.  So get your loan approval and find a great realtor and start looking for your home!  The best properties sell the quickest so you have to be prepared if you want to get your offer accepted.  Also, make sure you do your inspections.  Homes are expensive to fix so you want to know how much it will cost to do any repairs that might need to be made on the property before you purchase.  When I tour properties with my clients I try to point out things I see that could be problems.  From my experience remodeling old houses and building new construction I know first hand how time consuming and expensive repairs can be on homes.   So we try to eliminate the bad properties and just focus on the good ones.  Call me today if you are looking to buy or sell in south Minneapolis.
