If I Was Running For President

If I was running for president I would propose the following. Don't worry about the details now, just think big picture. 

1.  A $20,000 tax credit to any American that builds an ADU on their property. 

2.  A $20,000 tax credit to any American that gets their master electrician, plumber, or HVAC license. 

3.  A $20,000 tax credit to any American that gets their builders license and builds an affordable home in their city. 

These tax credits would encourage people to go into those trades.  We need more builders if we are going to build more homes.  It is that simple.  We need more framers, roofers, carpenters. Instead of sending kids to liberal arts schools I would just turn those schools into trade schools.  Just start teaching kids how to build.  We need to teach adults as well.  So yeah, I think that would be a good start.  Try it for 36 months and see what happens.
