Don't Let Fall Pass You By

October 3, 2016

Rumor has it that by the end of the week, we may start to see the temperature dip into the 30s (overnight).  Yikes!  Anyone else as bummed about that as I am?!

The good news is that today is gorgeous; the sun is out and proud and the leaves are just beginning to showcase their prime colors.  Who could ask for more?

So, even though today is Monday (and you're probably catching up on all the leftover work from last week and over the weekend), I highly recommend knocking off work a little early to enjoy the sunshine.  After all, these days may be far and few between in the coming weeks - save that stack of to-dos for a rainy day!

Below, I've compiled a list of all the things you could do today to soak up the last of this beautiful weather.  I'm certainly about to take advantage of at least a few...

  • Go on a walk - with the pups, your family, or yourself - get out and bask in the crunch of leaves underfoot and the warmth of the afternoon.
  • Take the family for some apple picking (and grab a few pumpkins while you're at it) - most farms are open until about 6pm.
  • Have a bonfire at sunset to fit in one more (or more than one) s'more for the season.
  • Sit in your yard and kick back with a book and a cup of coffee or tea (there's nothing better).

Whatever your preference, make sure to let yourself take a break on this Monday.  If we're lucky, we'll get a few more days as perfect as this one, but just in case we don't, you don't want to miss it!
