Why You Should Shop at Primp Boutique on 48th and Chicago
One thing that's pretty great about Minneapolis is all of our local boutiques. It seems like every corner has its own independent shop - which, of course, I love.
The best part about unique boutiques is that they're, well, unique. The clothes and shoes you find aren't your run-of-the-mill Target lines - rather, they're popping with colors and patterns you wouldn't find anywhere else. Plus, the service is stellar.
I recently stopped in to check out Primp on 48th and Chicago; I was in the market for a dress for a wedding event and hadn't found anything I liked at the big box stores. As soon as I walked in the doors, the staff greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. They started a fitting room for me and picked out a few key items they suggested while I scanned the store as well. The end result? I had an entire fitting room chock full of some of the best dresses - and a few I probably never would have thought to grab! They checked in every so often to see if I needed another size and gave me honest feedback whenever I asked.
Primp is a beautiful store, too - bright natural light streams through their street facing windows and their clothes hang along the walls in clean lines organized in a way that is welcoming, never overwhelming. They have seven locations around the Twin Cities, but the one on 48th and Chicago is my personal favorite because the area is prime - you can head across the street for some ice cream at Pumphouse Creamery after shopping. Or you can pick up a latte at Sovereign Grounds. And what's better than shopping with a sweet treat?!
Whatever your event or preference, Primp has an amazing selection of clothes and excellent staff service. Check them out the next time you're in the Hale neighborhood.
