Hopkins: A Great Community
I am really getting bullish on Hopkins. I have been working with a few buyers there lately and I am starting to like what I see. First, it has good schools. Good schools always attract young buyers that are starting families, most of the time they have good jobs. This is good for the local economy and the housing market. Second, it has a super cool Mainstreet. You can walk from your house to Mainstreet if you live just north of it, this walkability is really going to drive a lot of demand there because there aren't many other suburbs that are close to Minneapolis that have a walkable downtown. Third, I love the area north of Mainstreet, west of highway 169 and south of highway 7. It is super cute, safe, clean, and the houses are in great condition for the most part. I see a few new builds going up, and I could see this area becoming like Kenny and Armatage in south Minneapolis over the next 5-10 years. As you know, I am all about Minneapolis, but when I see something good I have to go for it. Please consider Hopkins as an alternative to south or northeast Minneapolis if you can't find what you like there, and if you have any questions about this or anything else regarding real estate please give me a call. 612-423-0202 arne@jrhomesales.com
